Theme typography and layout

Theme typography sets default fonts and sizes. Theme layout sets email width and the padding scale for body, section, column, and blocks.

What are theme typography and layout?

Theme typography is the default type for blocks that have not overridden font, size, weight, line height, or link underline. Theme layout is the email width (typically 200–900px) and the padding defaults for body, section, column, and blocks.

How typography applies

Body and heading sizes update Text and Heading blocks that still follow the theme. Inline styles you marked yourself stay put.

How layout applies

Change email width and the padding scale on the Themes tab. You can also choose whether image blocks inherit block padding from the theme.

TypographyTypography is the type controls on a block: font family, size, weight, line height, letter spacing, and alignment.Spacing: content vs inner paddingContent padding is space around the block in the column. Inner padding is space inside the block, around the copy or image.
