Export HTML and import limits
Export downloads the same compiled HTML as send. Openly does not offer a paste-HTML import in the app.
What is export vs import?
Export HTML downloads the compiled, email-safe file. Send Test Email uses that same compile path. Openly does not have an Import HTML control in the app, so pasted third-party HTML is not a supported starting point.
Copy HTML and download HTML each use one export from your monthly allowance, not an AI credit.
How to export
- Open the Burger Menu at the top right of the Top Navigation Bar.
- Choose Export HTML.
- Save the file. Preview first if you want to confirm layout.
Subject and preheader live on the Email tab. They are not inside the HTML file.
What does not round-trip
Keep the project in Library if you will edit again. Compiled HTML is for sending, not for rebuilding the canvas.
- Graphic Text and shaped dividers export as images and would not come back as those blocks.
- Line dividers and tables are not restored from compiled HTML.
- A Code block may export, but custom HTML often will not import back.
- Multi-section and multi-column layout is not restored from compiled HTML.
